Setting a default configuration
For customers with multiple sites, AudioEye can set a custom default Accessibility Help Desk configuration for all sites in an account. Contact AudioEye support to request account-level updates.
Opt-in configuration
By default, the AudioEye Accessibility Help Desk button is visible to all site users. It can be deactivated and reactivated from a site’s AudioEye Accessibility Statement. While it is recommended that the Accessibility Help Desk remain easily available to users, some customers prefer to change the default to “opt-in.” This hides the Help Desk button until a user activates it from the AudioEye Accessibility Statement. Customers wishing to enable the opt-in configuration should contact AudioEye support.
Note that AudioEye applies accessibility fixes to the website regardless of whether or not the Accessibility Help Desk button is visible to users. AudioEye does not support the use of “accessibility modes” that create a separate experience for users with disabilities.
Troubleshooting
If a configuration change is not immediately applied, follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Double-check that all changes have been saved by clicking/activating the “Save changes” button.
- Wait 30 minutes, as caching may cause a delay for updates to appear on some sites.
- Contact AudioEye support for further assistance.
