What is the AudioEye Accessibility Help Desk?
The AudioEye® Accessibility Help Desk transforms the online experience for users with disabilities by providing 24/7 accessibility support and customizable web personalization tools. AudioEye empowers users to navigate the digital world on their own terms, ensuring that no accessibility barrier goes unaddressed and every browsing experience is tailored to individual needs. This comprehensive approach meets diverse user needs while continuously improving a site's accessibility.
Once the Accessibility Help Desk button is activated, users are presented with two options to enhance their browsing experience: the Report Issue form and Personalization Tools.
Issue reporting
The Report Issue tab includes a form that users can complete to report accessibility issues on the site 24/7. By providing round-the-clock access to support, users with disabilities have a direct channel to report accessibility issues to AudioEye anytime, ensuring that no barrier goes unaddressed. When an accessibility issue is reported, AudioEye’s subject matter experts take action to ensure the issue is promptly resolved. This not only improves user experience but also helps organizations stay compliant with accessibility laws by streamlining issue reporting and resolution processes.
User-level personalization capabilities
The AudioEye Personalization Tools are a menu of settings that change a webpage's visual presentation. These tools allow users to easily tailor the browsing experience to their specific needs, resulting in happier users and increased engagement.
How to use the Accessibility Help Desk
By default, the AudioEye Accessibility Help Desk button is visible to all site users, but some customers choose to change the default to “opt-in.” This hides the Help Desk button until a user activates it from the AudioEye Accessibility Statement, which clients can easily embed on a page and provide a link to in the site’s footer to reach it.
To report an accessibility issue, activate the Accessibility Help Desk button and complete the form in the Report Issues tab.
To adjust the page's visual presentation, activate any combination of settings in the Personalization Tools tab.
Note that AudioEye applies accessibility fixes to the website regardless of whether or not the Accessibility Help Desk button is visible to users. AudioEye does not support the use of “accessibility modes” that create a separate experience for users with disabilities.
